State of the Studio: March Update

01.
CREATIVE SPARKS

- I'm finally reading this book I've heard approximately five hundred people rave about, and it's so, so good.

- Is there anything so aspirational as the notion of a home with a conservatory?

A reality TV show in which contestants recreate a painting that doesn’t exist, based only on a description jotted down centuries ago, in the style of Vermeer? Sold.

- Loved scrolling through the gallery of this Birmingham architect's home. Contemporary yet timeless.

- In case you need some laughs this week.

- When I turned 30 in August I set a loose goal to ~become someone who naps~ (it has never been my strong suit), and this podcast episode was surprisingly insightful.

HAPPENINGS

8x10 ABSTRACTS! This coming Monday, 3/6, at 10am Eastern, I'll send out a link to shop a handful of colorful new 8x10 abstracts on paper. If you want more info and early access to shop, SIGN UP HERE

- A little BTS news: I hired a studio manager! Her name is Lorna and she's the best. If you order anything from my website there's a  99% chance she packed and shipped it with TLC. Hooray for Lorna!

- I'm working on a collection of larger abstracts as well - let me know if you're looking for anything between 36x36 and 48x60, and I'll be happy to send you photos of what I have in stock!

-Do you have a friend who likes art, design, books, podcasts, gardens, and colorful things? Invite them over! Forward them this email and share the love.

SOMETHING GOOD

We have some very kind neighbors who let us walk on the trails through their land, and I finally walked far enough last week to stumble upon this beautiful and unexpected view. Makes me excited to visit it again when everything is green.

Until Next Time,
