State of the Studio: May Update

01.
CREATIVE SPARKS

- This “not precious, not pretentious” cottage nearby in the North Carolina mountains.

- I finally got around to reading this page turner and I think it turned me into a tennis fan.

- These old Japanese train tickets are little works of art.

- I have declared the coming months Grill Girl Summer, in which I learn to use our grill and spend the evenings outside working my way through this book with a podcast in my hears and a drink in hand.

- Yo-Yo Ma playing Bach in an Alaskan Birch grove on Earth Day.

- These photos have me craving a summer camping trip.

- And now for Maya Rudolph Corner: Just started watching season two of Loot, and listened to her episode of Armchair Expert.

02.
HAPPENINGS

- The latest in my ongoing Everyday Magic series.

AND, AS ALWAYS…

- If you're looking for larger paintings, check out what's in stock at the wonderful galleries I work with: Anne Irwin Fine Art | Bee Street Gallery | The Willard Gallery

-Do you have a friend who likes art, design, books, podcasts, gardens, and colorful things? Invite them over! Forward them this email and share the love.

SOMETHING GOOD

“I would love to live
Like a river flows,
Carried by the surprise
Of its own unfolding.”
