---

In the depths of a gray winter when my mind and soul were longing for Spring, I started to sketch a few unassuming scenes of the small gifts tucked into ordinary moments: the Adirondack chair facing the sun in our overgrown backyard, the stand mixer I dusted off to make homemade bagels, the well-loved tote I've had since high school.

Paying attention to these small glimmers was strangely addictive. Before I knew it I filled an entire page writing out ideas for what else I wanted to paint. I started to look at my everyday life like some sort of divine scavenger hunt, intent on uncovering its magic.

The more I paid attention, the longer my list grew, and the more I painted: Spring's first Forsythia foraged from that overgrown backyard, an Egret spotted on my morning walk, my son's giraffe toy momentarily forgotten in the grass.

The Everyday Magic calendar is an ode to (and reminder of) those infinite simple gifts hiding in plain sight.
