Herdwick Lamb

While painting the UK oil landscapes, I was quietly sketching the sheep I photographed in the English and Scottish hills. I eventually ended up with a small flock of these sweet, silly, fluffy creatures full of personality, keeping watch as I painted. These drawings have been a reminder that there’s something deeply refreshing about being in the presence of a gentle humility.

This is an unframed 8x10 inch original pencil drawing on 130 gsm Strathmore drawing paper.
